Obituary of Robert Shotwell

Robert W. Shotwell, of Washington, NJ passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012. He was 96 and died at home, which was where he said many times was where he wanted to be when his time came. Robert was born on July 22, 1915 in East Orange, NJ. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Normand H. and Ada ( nee Diokerson) Shotwell. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Gladys Ruth Cammon, his brothers, Norman and Richard ( Dick), his sister, Charlotte O'Brien, his daughter, Ruth Baylor, and two sons, Scott Studley and Robert ( Bobby) Mabee. He is survived by one son, Thomas ( Tom) McLaughlin, daughter-in-law, Kim McLaughin and Joan Spencer-Mabee, four grandsons, DJ Spencer, Robbie Spencer, Barry Spencer, and Alan Christophel, and a granddaughter, Roseanne Christophel, and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service is scheduled on April 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Community Presbyterian Church 220 Main Street, Chester NJ.The DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc. has been entrusted with his arrangements.
