Obituary of Belva Rymon

Belva M. Rymon 91, of Washington Township, NJ, passed away with her loving family by her side at the House of the Good Shepherd in Hackettstown, NJ on July 3, 2006. Born October 28, 1914 in Rupert, Columbia County PA. She was the daughter of the late John W. Geiger and Lottie (Steinbach) Geiger. Her husband, Franklin died March 24, 1992. Belva graduated from Hampton High School. She was associated with her husband in Frank Rymon & Sons for 37 years. She was a 4H Leader and volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Hospice. Belva enjoyed travel and in later years, Elderhostel trips with her sister, Myrna. She was an avid Bridge player and spent winters in Tavares, Fl. Belva loved history and enjoyed researching her ancestry. Memberships: She was a past member of the Washington Grange and founding member of the WASU Wagoneers Camping Club. She was an active member since 1961 of the Washington Women's Club and their Art and Literature Group. She was a member of the Changewater United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Group. She was a trustee and member of the Warren County Genealogical and Historical Society and the Peggy Warne chapter of DAR. Survivors: She is survived by two daughters; Charlotte Cowell and husband, Howard of Belvidere, NJ, and Arta O'Malley and husband, Patrick of Washington, NJ, Three sons; Brent and wife, Jean of Emmaus, PA, Bennett and wife, Debbie of Washington, NJ, and Bill and wife, Karen of Broadway, NJ Three sisters; Rhoda Page, formerly of Washington, now Olympia, WA, Jane Gibson, who was also her best friend, of Basking Ridge, and Myrna Reese of Sanford, NC. 15 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. A daughter, Brenda, a sister, Dorothea Brownlee and a great-grandson, all died earlier Services: Friends and family may call on Thursday from 7 to 9PM at DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 W.Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. Tribute from: Greg Gibson Aunt Belva was very talkative on the telephone she did not like call waiting and never had it on her telephone line, You could learn about your Union civil war past though her and family news, she knew alot of what is happinging very sharp memory, she even though her sister Jane my Mother, was happy that I won a prizes though a radio call in show.
