Obituary of Dorothy Fentzlaff

Dorothy L. Fentzlaff, 78, of Washington, New Jersey passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born on March 13, 1934 in Phillipsburg, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Harold "Chubb" Christine and Margaret ( nee Janes) Burd. Dorothy was very family oriented and loved spending time with them. She was an avid bingo player. She was very proud of her all grandchildren and their successes in sports, especially her grandson, Tyler Sash who is a New York Giant. She was predeceased by her late husband, Elmer "Barney" Fentzlaff in 1995. She is survived by six daughters, Susan Smith of Mosby, MT, Barnetta "Barney" Sash of Oskaloosa, IA, Bonnie Colaluce of Asbury, NJ, Penny Bodine of Mt. Bethel, PA, Jackie Barettino of Bethlehem, PA, and Trisha Petrick of Washington, NJ, twelve grandchildren, Mike Smith, Jess Smith, Joshua Sash, Megan Sash Wieland, Tyler Sash, Corey Colaluse, Justin, Colaluce, Lauren Bodine, Brad Bodine, Jenna Nyland, Jacob Nyland, and Codi Nyland, and six great-grandchildren, Garret Smith, Tandon Sash, Brielle Wieland, Cecelia Colaluce, Colton Colaluce,and Dominick Colaluce. She is predeceased by two sisters, Majorie Eick and Eleanor Smolinski, and a grandchild, Debbie Smith. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2012 at the funeral home. In Dorothy's memory, donations can be made to the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Avenue Newton, NJ 07860.
