Obituary of Lycurgus Mowrey

Lycurgus "Kirk" Millburn Mowrey, Jr., 84, of Washington NJ, passed away at St. Luke's Warren Hospital on January 7, 2014. He was born in Glen Gardner, NJ on February 27, 1931 to the late Lycurgus Millburn and Edith Groff Mowrey. He was a graduate of the Washington High School. He was employed for many years at The Oxford Mines in Oxford, NJ followed by Ingersoll-Rand in the Cameron Pump Division. He loved woodworking and playing quoits. He was married to the late Janet (Rossnagle) Mowrey. He is survived by a daughter Linda Swift and her husband Bill, of Belvidere, NJ a sister Shirley Johns of Nevada. He is also survived by two grandsons, Brad Swift and Kyle Swift of Belvidere, NJ. Calling hours will will be held on Saturday January 11, 2014 from 10:00am-12:00 pm at The DeVoe Funeral Service 136 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ 07882.
