Obituary of Jean Godfrey

Jean “Figa” Godfrey, 87, of Washington, NJ passed away on October 21, 2015 at Hackettstown Medical Center. Jean was born on December 19, 1927 to the late Anthony and Josephine (Podhajska) Cardell in Mansfield Township, NJ. She was one of eight children. Jean was a homemaker and wonderful mother to her children. She lived for her family. She was a former member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. She is survived by her sons Robert and his wife Bonnie of Bethlehem, PA; William “Bill” of White Township, NJ; Mark of Washington Township, NJ; daughters Lynn-Ann Godfrey of Washington, NJ, and Karen Felschow and her husband Andy of VA; grandchildren Ian, Brittany, Bailey, Jennifer, Justin, and Mark, Jr. and great granddaughter Kennedy. A viewing will be held Sunday October 25, 2015 from 3-6 pm at the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 W. Washington Ave. Washington, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Monday October 26, 2015 at 10 am also at the funeral home. Interment following at Stewertsville Presbyterian Cemetery.
