Obituary of Rose Cooper
Rose M. Cooper 84 of Oxford NJ died peacefully in Warren Hospital on December 10, 2009.
She was born in Bethlehem Pa, April 11, 1925; she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Kohonitch.
She was a life long resident of Oxford.
She was employed The Oxford Textile Co in Oxford for over 42 years retiring in 1990.
She was a long time member of the Oxford Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
She was very active in the Fire Companys Minstrel shows that were preformed years ago. She was involved with the Oxford Senior Citizens club the Young At Heart. She was a member of the United Textile Union. She enjoyed going to Casinos and playing bingo.
Rose was a member of St Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Oxford NJ
She was predeceased by a husband, Bob Sr. in 1997.
Surviving are her son Bob Jr. of Delaware NJ, two sisters Ann Hervanek of Oxford NJ and Frances Senkoruk of My Pocono PA., three granddaughters, Cheryl Kinney of Mansfield Twp NJ, Karen Juskus of Columbia NJ and Krista Cooper of Delaware NJ and many nieces and nephews
Rose was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie Papaditch and Nick Parr and two sisters, Mary Mincevich and Kate Papaditch.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Monday December 14, 2009 at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church Academy Street Oxford NJ. Interment to follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Oxford. The family will receive friends on Sunday 4-6 pm in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave, Washington NJ.
