Obituary of Vytaut Paulauskas

Vytaut Francis Paulauskas, 87, of New Village, passed away with his wife at his side on Palm Sunday, April 13, 2014. He was a patient at the Lopatcong Care Center in Phillipsburg. Born: Born April 21, 1926 in Bayonne, N.J., he was the son of Charles and Josephine (Seselski) Paulauskas. Personal: Frank was a 1944 graduate of Cranford High School. He served in the United States Air Force in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was employed by the Bethlehem Corporation, as head of the Environmental Division which manufactured test chambers for NASA, during the early years of the space program. He was also in charge of the manufacture of Hyperbaric Chambers, used by many of the leading hospitals in the world. He continued his career, working as plant manager for Tenny Engineering in their, South Brunswick, New Jersey, until his retirement. Before his retirement he taught evening classes at Warren Tech., No. Hunterdon Regional and Kesslerville Vo-Tech. He was of the Episcopalian faith, and served as a Vestryman and as a member of the Brotherhood of Saint Andrew. Frank also served as a member of the Franklin Township, Board of Education. Frank and his wife celebrated their 65th. wedding anniversary on June 19, 2013 and enjoyed gardening and collecting antiques. Survivors: Wife, Mairlyn, Sons, John of Florida and James and wife Bonnie of Maine. Granddaughter, Susan Sturgill and son Marshall of West Virginia Grandson, Matthew Paulauskas and wife Renee' and sons Tyler and Nathan of Maine Grandson, Joshua Pauluskas of Maine He was predeceased by parent, Charles and Josephine, brother Charles Paulis, sister Mary Chiu and daughter- in law Judy Paulauskas who recently died on March 29, 2014. The DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave Washington NJ has been entrusted with his arrangements. Services: There will be a private service at a later time, at the convenience of the family. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please donate to, the Franklin Township and Greenwich Township Emergency Squads.
