Obituary of Mary Picone

Mary Poch Picone passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 24, 2015 at the Country Arch Nursing Home in Union Twp NJ where she had been residing since May 2014. She was 95 years old. She was Born in Hungary Nov. 4, 1919 she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Poch. She moved to America in 1921 with her father, mother and older brother. She was the wife of Robert Picone and they had been married 53 years before his passing in 1995. For the last 20 years, she lived in Hampton and prior to that, had lived in Clinton for over 50 years. Mary had been employed with Ethicon for many years before retiring several years ago. She enjoyed many afternoons watching the Triple Crown Races, Wimbledon tennis tournaments as well as professional golf. She leaves behind her loving daughter Barbara Schantz, one grandson, Gary Schantz and his wife Jean; one grand-daughter April Olexson and her husband Eugene, two great-grand-daughters, Sophia and Isabella Olexson; and one great-grandson Albert Schantz III. Also she is survived by two sisters Elizabeth (Poch) Maxham and Margaret (Poch) Vasko aswell as many nieces and nephews. Aside from her husband, she was predeceased be two brothers, Frank and Andrew Poch and two sisters, Irene Poch Rush and Helen Poch Brown as well as her son in law, Albert Schantz Jr. Services will be private and held at the convienece of the family.
