Obituary of Gaddis J DeVries

Gaddis “Jake” J. DeVries 74 of Port Murray NJ died Sunday November 26, 2017 in Morristown Medical Center Hospice unit.

He was born July 10, 1943 in Phillipsburg NJ to John and Margaret Samoge DeVries.

He was last employed as a Security Guard for Allied Security at Chubb Insurance. Before that he was a production Scheduler for Ames Rubber Corporation in Hamburg, NJ.

Jake was an avid Hunter and Bowler. He enjoyed camping, traveling and being outdoors.

Surviving him is his wife the former Nina Kotivec, two sons Adam and John, daughters; Michele, Dawn and Margie, a sister Cecilia “Nook” Wiseburn, and two grandchildren.

A sister, Helen Kravner preceded him in death.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11:30 AM in the DeVoe Funeral Service 136 West Washington Ave, Washington NJ. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:30-11:30AM in the funeral home.
