Obituary of Robert Sabia

Robert B.Sabia, 40, of Washington, NJ for the past 36 years died suddenly on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, PA. Robert was born on December 8, 1970 in Plainfield, NJ. He was the son of Ms. Diane Cameron and stepfather; James Cameron and father; Anthony J. Sabia Jr. and step-mother; Lynda Sabia. He was a food service supervisor at Hagedorn Hospital, Glen Gardner, NJ. He was a 1989 graduate of Warren Hills High School, Washington, NJ. Robert was of the Catholic faith. Robert was a dedicated loving father to his daughter Gabriella. He supported and enjoyed watching his daughter cheer for the Rocket Elites All Stars. He was a member of AFSCME Local Union 2212. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys , New York Yankees, San Antonio Spurs, and Philadelphia Flyers. In addition to his parents and step-parents, he is survived by, his wife; Terry Sabia, a daughter; Gabriella Sabia of Easton, PA, step-son; Jonathan Barnes of Easton, PA, a brother; Anthony Sabia and partner; Dieter Zerressen of Denver, CO, three sisters; Debbie Sabia of Easton, PA, Kimberly Bonopane and husband Gene of Mt. Bethel, PA, and Dee Cameron of Flanders, NJ, and was a loving uncle to four nephews and a niece. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 200 Carlton Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. Please send donations in Robert's memory to an Education Fund for his daughter Gabriella. Checks can be made payable to Gabriella Sabia.
