Obituary of Agnes Nagy

Agnes Mary Johanna Nagy, 82, of Bangor, PA, died Tuesday, February 3, 2009 in the Episcopalian Apartments of the Slate Belt, Bangor, PA. Agnes was born in Mansfield, NJ, the daughter of the late Eggert V and the late Agnes S (Kinney) Eggertsen. Agnes was a Certified Nurses Aide, employed by Warren Haven Nursing Home, Oxford, NJ 07863 for 31 years retiring in 1989. After her retirement Agnes was employed by the House of Good Shepherd, Hackettstown, NJ for five years followed by employment with Home Health Aides of Phillipsburg, NJ, until the age of 75. Agnes enjoyed traveling, riding horses and dancing. She was a member of AARP, Bangor, PA and a member of Portland United Methodist Church, Portland, PA. Survivors:Agnes is survived by her two daughters, Marietta Kuster of Middleburg, PA, and Emily Rush of Bethlehem, PA; a son, James J. Nagy of Bangor, PA; six grandchildren, fourteen greatgrandchildren and three great-greatchildren. In addition to her parents, her sons-in-law, Kenneth Kuster and Richard Rush both died earlier. Services: Family may visit with the family on Monday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 W. Washington Ave., Washington, NJ. A funeral service follow visitation at the funeral home. Interment will be in H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to a hospice of one's choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.devoefuneral.com.
