Obituary of Mary Bateman

Mary Bateman 96 of Glen Gardner NJ died Wednesday October 9th in the Hunterdon Care Center. She was born in Alpha NJ December 10th 1916. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Anna Warmster Bickel. Mary had been a Cottage Training Supervisor for the Hunterdon Developmental Center before retiring several years ago. She was Past Commander of the D.A.V. Auxillary. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Clarence H Bateman in 1994. She is survived by 2 sons Clarence R. of Glen Gardner NJ and Ronald of Colorado Springs Colorado, 4 sisters, Mary Bateman of Morristown NJ, Blanche Darling of Boonton NJ, LaReene Heath of Summit NJ and Dorothy Bateman of Binghamton NY, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by her 5 brothers and 1 sister. Calling hours for Mrs. Bateman will be Sunday evening from 6-8PM in the DeVoe Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Monday at 10AM in the DeVoe Funeral Home, 136 West Washington Ave, Washington NJ 07882. The burial will follow in the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery Hampton NJ.
