Obituary of Caroline Hanby

Caroline C. Hanby, 67, formerly of Phillipsburg, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Valley View Health Center, Frenchtown, NJ. Caroline was born on January 18, 1945 in Succasunna, NJ. Caroline enjoyed bingo, knitting, camping, and jigsaw puzzles. She loved Elvis and country music. She is predeceased by her loving husband, John H. Hanby, Jr. in 2005. She is survived by a son, John H. Hanby, III of PA, three daughters, Carolynn DeStefano of PA, Tammy Hornbaker of NJ, and Virginia Beagle of NJ, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A service will follow at noon in the funeral home. An interment will follow the service at Fairmount Presbyterian Cemetery.
