Joan Vernon, 76, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2011 at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg,NJ. Joan was born on March 31, 1934 in White Township,NJ. She is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry and Cora (nee Thatcher) Emery. She is survived by her two sons; Elvin Vernon of Phillipsburg,NJ and Robert Rose of Buttzville, NJ, a sister; Irene Thorp of PA, 8 grandchildren; David, Jeffrey, Christopher, Brenda, Amanda, and Catherine Vernon, Jason Rittenhouse, and Tawny Kesely, 2 great-grandchildren; Jayden and Paige. She is predeceased by 6 brothers; David, Harry Jr., Raymond, Buddy, Lawrence, and Lawrence Emery and 4 sisters; Mary Itterly, Ivy Emery, Jane Emery, Verna Keifer.
