You said this was the best experience of your life, a week in wildwood just you and I living each other in solitude away from real life. I remember before we went you were worried about going in the water, you said you were scared and dnt normally go in deeper than your feet. So you went in with me and you stayed in deep in the water riding with the waves and floating and you were in there for hours, you didn't want to get out! I had to pul Daryl out! He loved it do much! We dreamed about living there and In Colorado! I wish i could still be spending my future with you but the fact that i love u and always will i know will never change. As a teacher, there are students that change you, they have such an effect on you, that you will never be the same. There are students that you remember almost on a daily basis. Daryl was one of these students. I had the privilege of being Daryl's teacher for two years of middle school. Daryl made me want to teach, he helped keep me in the profession, and for his presence in my classroom and my life, I am extremely grateful. It was during the time that I had Daryl as a student that I began a writing program in my class and his response as well as the other students in his class was the reason is still in place. He was a fantastic and creative writer and I think about his work all the time and I am so happy I saved pieces of it. Daryl was such a caring individual; he made myself and others smile and laugh every day. He put you in a good mood. He raised your spirits. He made me a better teacher, made me love my job, and I will never forget him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. Rest in peace, Daryl.

I started missing you the day I left jersey, and now ill stay missing you forever. I loved you more than I ever showed. As a person and as a friend you were amazing. You taught me so much. I didn't know Daryl but am so sorry for his loss. His mother is my cousin and I love her dearly. Sheila, I am so sorry. Just know that I believe he is in a better place and in Jesus and God's loving hands. He is there with others in our family who have gone before. I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to Daryl's family. My Father, Richard, was the family's mailman for years and he can remember Daryl being this very polite and nice kid in town. I also remember Daryl as a very accepting and kind person from high school and the few times that we had long conversations about the music we enjoyed, I could tell he was a great person full of good spirits. I am very sorry for your loss and my family offers its condolences.
