Obituary of George Marcino

George E. Marcino, 86, of Washington Twp ( Warren County) died March 5th at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, Hackettstown NJ. He was born in Elizabeth, NJ on March 16,1925. He was the son of the late George and Wanda Latsky Marcino. George was an engineer for 45 years at AT&T in Newark, NJ. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and received the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters. George moved from Cranford, NJ 14 years ago. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Washington. He loved golf, feeding wild birds and caring for his home. He was a member of the GemVac Veterans. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, the former Margaret Connelly, two sons, Peter Marcino of NY, NY, James and his wife Christine of Garden City, NY, and his daughter, Elizabeth Harper and her husband James of Bethlehem Twp., NJ. In addition are his five grandchildren, Molly and Peter Harper, and Nicholas, Kate, and Grace Marcino, three sisters, Francis, Genenieve, and Judith, and a loving sister in law, Dolores Donovan. He was predeceased by a brother, Karol and a sister, Mary.
