My sincere and insufficient condolences to Arvelya's loving family, whose support of her she often spoke of with great love and gratitude. What a devastating loss of an inspiring young person. I was fortunate enough to be one of her teachers at WCCC--for four classes. In the time she was my student, I saw her revise her papers as she tirelessly revised her life, working to become the person she wanted to be. In the couple years she was in my classes, she blossomed into this purposeful, beautiful adult. I will never forget her. She remains a blessing to us all.
