Obituary of Robert Thomas McLaughlin

Robert Thomas McLaughlin, age 62, of Easton, PA formerly of Washington NJ, passed peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospice House.  Robert was born June 26, 1957 in Newark, NJ. He is the son of the late John Patrick and the late Margaret (Kaufman) McLaughlin.  

Robert attended Warren Hills and Warren Tech. He would later go on to be top of his class as a Steamfitter apprentice for Local #475 in Newark, and worked as a foreman for Binsky & Snyder. A love of music drove him to also become a professional musician as a drummer and vocalist.

He loved the outdoors, hiking and biking but especially loved spending time with his sons and his family.  

He is survived by his stepson Robert McManus, sons Brian and Sean Mclaughlin; sister, Jeanette O’Bryon and her husband James; brothers John Mcaughlin and James Mclaughlin and his wife Theresa.

Relatives and friends may gather with the family on Monday November 11, from 10:00 am until the service at 12:15 pm at the Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service 142 West Washington Avenue, Washington NJ 07882. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
