Obituary of Virginia Ann Harrington

Virginia A. "Ginger" Harrington, 63, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday March 12, 2020. Ginger was born on December 20, 1956 in Phillipsburg, NJ and was the daughter of the late Konrad and Anna (Signorini) Duyssen.

Ginger grew up in Washington, NJ and graduated from Warren Hills High School class of 1974. She worked at Abilities of Northwest Jersey for thirty-eight years and loved very much what she did.

Her love for traveling took Ginger to her favorite islands in the Caribbean and Mexico. She visited seventeen different Caribbean Islands, her favorite trip though was to the magical island of Bora Bora in the South Pacific.

Ginger also played for many years in the Warren County Women's Softball League and was the pitcher for her Candle Artisans team earning several All-Star game appearances.

A fantastic cook, Ginger loved spending time with her family especially her grandkids. Her family and friends will always remember the fun they had at her Gaudy Gift Parties.

Surviving is her beloved husband Dan, children Colleen Harrington and her partner Jon Ciurczak, Jennifer Omitt, Jamie Miller and husband Ryan. Beloved grandchildren, Logan Capone, Makenna Miller, Ethan Omitt and Lucy Ciurczak. Also surviving are her brother Konrad Duyssen and sister Diane Schmidt. A special thanks to all her nieces and nephews who were a great comfort during this illness.

Relatives and friends may gather with the family on Tuesday March 17, 2020 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 142 West Washington Avenue, Washington NJ 07882.
