Obituary of Michael J Crowley

Michael J. Crowley, age 53, of Washington NJ, formerly of Mansfield Township passed peacefully Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at home surrounded in love by his family. Michael was born November 16, 1966 in Point Pleasant, NJ. He is the son of Linda (Ward) Amey and Arthur Crowley. He married the love of his life, his high school sweetheart Tammy VanSolkema on October 6, 1990.

Mike graduated from Warren Hills High School in 1985 and attended Ramapo College as a Business Major, graduating in 1989. A true sports fan, Mike loved coaching his kids along with other community kids in the local recreation baseball, football and basketball programs for over 20 years, he was a strong supporter of the Jr. Streaks Cheerleading Team.

A diehard YANKEES and GIANT'S fan, Mike loved life and everything it offered. He enjoyed ocean fishing, bowling, a good round of golf, vacationing with his family, live music concerts, eating out, and just spending time with friends and family, making memories.

He is survived by his loving wife: Tammy (VanSolkema) Crowley; daughter Nicole Crowley and her fiancée John Horak; two sons Cody Crowley and wife Brittany and TJ Crowley; mother Linda (Ward) Amey and her husband Bruce; his father Arthur Crowley and his wife Elaine; father in law Sint VanSolkema Sr.; Sister Darlene Wright and husband Martin; step brother Bruce Amey and wife Anne; brother in law, Sint VanSolkema Jr.; nephews Kyle and Jake Wright; Sint and Hayden VanSolkema; Mick Amey; niece Adrienne Amey; and his beloved dog, Kali Girl.

Mike was predeceased by his mother in law, Nancy Leh VanSolkema.

A drive thru memorial service will be held by the family on Saturday May 9th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, at the Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 142 West Washington Avenue, Washington NJ 07882. Those that wish to attend we ask that you please keep your windows rolled up and enter the funeral home by the driveway on Route 57. Funeral Attendants will help guide and disburse memorial cards. Inurnment will take place privately by the family at Rockport Second Mansfield Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
