Obituary of Edward J. Ciecwisz Jr.

Edward J. Ciecwisz Jr., age 65, from Lebanon Township, New Jersey, passed away Monday, June 29, 2020, at St. Clare's Hospital located in Dover, New Jersey. Born November 10, 1954, Eddie was the son of his beloved mother Sophie Ciecwisz, and late father, Edward J. Ciecwisz Sr.

Eddie attended Holy Trinity High School in Westfield from 1968-1972 and attended Seton Hall College from 1974-1977. He worked at Gino’s fast food restaurant from 1970-1979. After leaving Gino’s, he started working at AT&T, retiring as Project Manager after 22 years with the company.

Eddie's greatest accomplishment by far was his beautiful family who he adored. Eddie married Wendy in 1990 and was happily married for 30 years. They had two darling daughters, Jennifer and Katie. His family was the most important part of his life. He loved planning family vacations and attending family gatherings. He especially enjoyed watching his daughters play sports, and was so proud of their educational and athletic achievements.

Eddie loved spending time at the shore house, fishing, and taking trips on the “SEA WIZ”. He took the family on some lovely trips out on the ocean. Eddie loved playing baseball in his younger years. His enjoyment of the sport continued throughout his life as he enjoyed coaching the girls with all there was to know about softball. He was always in attendance at their games and practices. Some of Eddie’s other interests included collecting John Deere tractors and Yankee memorabilia, along with always thinking of new projects to build.

Eddie was very proud to be a loving son, husband, father, uncle, godfather, and friend to all. Eddie’s wish to everyone who knew him: “No tears – I lived a wonderful life. Remember all the good times we’ve had together.” He truly brightened the room with his presence and was the type of person who could make anyone laugh the second he entered the room. Eddie was one of a kind.

Eddie was predeceased by his father, Edward J. Ciecwisz Sr. in 2010.

Eddie is survived by his wife of 30 years, Wendy Ciecwisz; his daughters, Jennifer and Katie Ciecwisz; his mother, Sophie Ciecwisz, of whom he loved so very much. Also left to cherish his memory and great times are his three siblings: Greg Ciecwisz (Justyne), Ray Ciecwisz (Debbie), Gloria George (Walter) along with his nieces and nephews: Damien Ciecwisz (Jessica), Kolby Ciecwisz (Jessica), Dillon George (Victoria), Tanner Ciecwisz, Alyssa Ciecwisz, Montana Jo Ciecwisz, Denver George, Ryan Ciecwisz, Jenna George, and Christine George. He was also fortunate to be a grand uncle to Connor and Kenzie Ciecwisz.
