Obituary of Valerie J Vest

Valerie J. Vest, age 66, of Fleming Island, FL passed Monday, November 23, 2020 at Haven Hospice in Orange Park, FL. Valerie was born February 5, 1954. She is the beloved daughter of Joyce (Unangst) Mowder.  

Born and raised in Warren County NJ, Valerie moved to Florida many years ago and started her career as a Flight Attendant for National Airlines, which would be acquired by Pan American Airways. Valerie would visit many different countries in her travels before she would devote her time to being mom to her beloved son Allen. 

Valerie is survived by her devoted mother Joyce Mowder of Oxford, NJ; son: Allen Ball and his companion Caitlan Crewe of Mooresville, NC; granddaughter: Aubrey Rae Ball; Sister: Vicky Joyce of Fitchburg, MA; nieces, Kelly Joyce, Shannon Brousseau and Alison Carbone. Her Stepfather, Robert Mowder, predeceased her.

Friends and relatives may gather with the family on Friday, December 4 from 11:30 am until 12:00 pm at Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 142 West Washington Ave, Washington, NJ. A service of remembrance will be offered at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Marissa van der Valk presiding. Burial will follow at the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery, Hampton, NJ.
