Obituary of Arlene Doris Beers

Arlene Doris (nee Ressegue) Beers, age 85, of Washington, NJ, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at home. Arlene was born July 2, 1935 in Scranton, PA, to the late Leroy Ressegue and the late Romayne (nee Foiw) Ressegue.

Arlene was a graduate of Scranton Tech High School.  Following high school, Arlene married her beloved husband, Nelson E. Beers Jr., on April 7, 1956.  Together they raised four children; Nelson, Darlyne, Charlyne, and David.  She was a dedicated wife, loving mother, and adoring grandmother and great grandmother. Arlene's family was her proudest accomplishment.

Arlene had worked as a sales clerk for Comcast in the past. Some of Arlene's favorite memories were having a girls' trip to Hawaii and spending time with her family at Lake Wallenpaupack in the summer. She will be remembered for her kind heart and the love she had for her family.

Arlene will be forever missed by her loving husband, Nelson E. Beers Jr.; sons, Nelson E. Beers III, and David P. Beers and his wife Tara; daughters, Darlyne C. Turko and her husband Michael, and Charlyne A. Beers; grandchildren, Michael Turko Jr. and his wife Jennifer, Michelle Turko, Matthew Turko and his wife Adrianne, Marlee Turko, Keisha Beers, David A. Beers, Daniel E. Beers and his wife Shannon, and Drew Beers; and her great grandchildren.

Arlene is predeceased by her parents, Leroy Ressegue and Romayne (nee Foiw) Ressegue.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family in celebrating Arlene’s life, on Thursday, March 11th at 12:00 pm at the Faith Discovery Church, 33 Brass Castle Road, Washington NJ 07882. Entombment will follow at Glenwood Mausoleum, 703 Morgan Highway, South Abington, PA 18411. Arrangements are under the care of Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Washington NJ.
