Obituary of Nancy Ann Godfrey

Nancy Ann Godfrey, age 85, of Washington, NJ, passed away on May 18, 2021, in Hackettstown, NJ.  Born on September 13, 1935, in Dickinson City, PA, Nancy was the daughter of the late Josaphene and Michael Barron.  

Nancy attended Washington High School and married her beloved husband, Jack, on January 3, 1952. Together they raised a daughter and two sons Debbie, Mickey, and Danny.  

Nancy held many jobs throughout her life, including an office manager for several trucking companies, office assistant and candy packer at M&M Mars, Kitchen manager at Chew and Brew Restaurant, and a cashier at Rite Aid.  In Nancy's downtime, she could often be found cooking, entertaining friends, traveling, spending time with family, and extreme couponing.  She was a member of Moose International and Cedarette (Tall Cedars of Lebanon) of Warren County, NJ.

Nancy will be forever missed by her loving husband, John "Jack" Godfrey; sisters, Elaine "Chip" Conklin of Baltimore, MD, and Dolores "Dee" Moffett of Nazareth, PA. She will be forever missed by her grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Nancy is predeceased by her older brother, William "Billy" Barron of Washington, NJ; her three children, Deborah "Debbie" Tuggle of Smithville, TN, John Michael "Mickey" Godfrey of Mountain Lake, NJ, and Daniel "Danny" Godfrey of Washington, NJ.

Private family services are to be determined.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Deborah Tuggle's name may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
