Obituary of Gary Padgett

Gary Padgett 70 went home to be with the lord on January 27th, 2022, after a short stay at St. Luke's Medical Center Easton Pa. Born on September 27th, 1951, in Newton NJ, he was a son of the late Earl and Dora Mae Winans. 

Gary lived in Bath Pa for the past 11 years. He was employed by TransBridge Lines as a driver for 40 years. He also was a member of ATU local 1603 for several terms as secretary and then three terms as president.

He was the heart of hospitality and was a loving kindhearted person devoted to family and friends. He received so much joy from his children, grandchildren, and great grandson. He had a love for bowling, golfing, and playing pinochle with family and friends, and was an avid Phillies fan.

Above all, Gary loved his lord and savior Jesus Christ and was a member of Faith Discovery Church (Washington Assembly of God) for 30 years. 

Gary is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia (Rymon) Padgett. Four children, Shawn and her husband Eric of Stewartsville NJ, Brandi of Phillipsburg NJ, Shane of Austin Texas, and Schuyler of Bath Pa.; brother, Gene and his wife Juanita of Gainesville Texas, three sisters, Barbara Padgett of Hackettstown NJ, Julia Hornoff of Hackettstown NJ, and Sandra and her husband Arthur Rostkowski of Hackettstown, NJ; sister-in-law, Jean Padgett of Hackettstown NJ. Eleven grandchildren Paige, Katyhryn, Jackson, Mathew, Shelby, Erinne, Melany, Lucas, Ian, Kaidyn, and Xiao and one great grandson Rowan and many loving nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by his brother Gale Padgett and brother-in-law Arthur Hornoff.

Thank you to all of those who have reached out with your thoughts, prayers, and condolences. Gary was so well beloved, and it is a testament to the way he loved others that his family is being so well loved in return.

Spiritual services will be held on Saturday February 12th at 11:00 am at Faith Discovery Church, 33 Brass Castle Rd. Washington, NJ 07882, followed by a repass in the fellowship hall.

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Faith Discovery Church.
