Obituary of Barbara Roberts Hansen

Barbara Roberts Hansen, 79,of Easton, PA, formerly of Hunterdon County, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at The Gardens of Memory Care in Easton, PA. Barbara was born on July 28, 1943, and was the daughter of the late Donald and Helen Roberts.

Barbara was raised in Hampton, NJ and was a graduate of North Hunterdon High School, Class of 1961. Barbara married the love of her life Norman Hansen on June 27, 1970 in Hampton, NJ. They raised four children together. Her husband, the late Rev. Dr. Norman Hansen, was a Minister with the United Methodist Church, where she played an instrumental role in the church choir for more then 50 years. She was actively involved in the United Methodist Women along with many other church related activities. She was truly dedicated to her family and church. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She took great joy in her two grandchildren whom she adored. Her family was her world and meant everything to her.

Barbara loved singing, reading books and camping with her family every summer. She loved to indulge in desserts and sweets. Barbara enjoyed watching sports, and was an avid fan of the Yankees despite her family's love of the NY Mets. She will always be loved and remembered by the many people she touched. We Love you Mom!!!

 

Surviving Barbara are her children; Matthew N. Hansen Upper Black Eddy PA, Mark E. Hansen Sr. Easton PA, Kristy J. Hansen of Plainsboro, NJ and Kathryn B. Hansen Telford PA. Grandchildren Mark E. Hansen Jr. of Pittsburgh PA, and Jhovanna Biekisz of Flemington, NJ. Brother, Donald Roberts Jr. of Allentown, PA.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Dr. Norman Hansen and sister Janice Moore.
