James Vernacchia

Obituary of James Anthony Vernacchia

James A. Vernacchia, age 67, of Oxford, NJ, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Kindred Hospice located in Dover, NJ.  Born April 12, 1956 in Newark, NJ, he was the son to the late Anthony Vernacchia and the late Ann (nee Kopushenski) Vernacchia.

Jim was known for his inquisitive nature, and was passionate about creating and assembling machinery.  He found thrill in building and testing out the machines he created.  For 35 years, Jim worked as a machine assembler for Norwalt Design, located in Randolph, NJ.  If you asked him what one of his machines did, he would explain how one made insulin needles and the intricate details of how the machine worked.

Jim’s love of machines was triumphed by his love for his family.  His family was the most important thing to him.  He and his loving wife, Anna (nee Krupinski) Vernacchia, raised two sons, Andre and Peter, who he adored.  He took great joy in spending time with his five grandchildren and his two great grandchildren.

Jim will be forever missed by his loving wife, Anna Vernacchia; sons, Andre Vernacchia and Peter Vernacchia; beloved sister, Barbara Vernacchia; five precious grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Jim is predeceased by his parents Ann and Anthony Vernacchia.
