Obituary of Leo Pearson

Leo Pearson, age 85, of Oxford, NJ, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Forest Manor Health Care, in Hope NJ. Born March 30,1938 in Clifton, NJ. He was the son of the late Russel Pearson and the late Anna M. (nee Stoffa) Pearson.

Raised in Oxford, NJ, Leo lived a short time in High Bridge before returning to Oxford in 1964. He married his beloved wife, Kathleen Pearson and together they raised a beautiful family together. Leo was a welder/fabricator and maintenance technician. He retired from Operating Engineers Local 825 and was co-owner of Pearson’s Welding Service. Leo was a lifelong member of the Oxford Volunteer Fire Company. He was a highly gifted craftsman and enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, and bowling.

Leo was a loving father and proud grandfather and great grandfather. He will be forever missed by his son, Ronald Pearson and his wife Debbie; daughter, Karen Pearson and her significant other Nick; son-in-law Carl; grandchildren, Crystal, Amanda, Gregory, and Bryan; great grandchildren, Abigail and CJ; sister, Annette Vasko, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Leo is predeceased by his wife Kathleen, parents, Russell and Anna Pearson, brothers, William and Andrew Pearson and sisters, Alice Pearson and Ruth Charity.

Friends and relatives may gather with Leo’s family on Sunday, November 5^th from 11:00 am until 12:00pm, with a memorial service beginning at 12:00 pm. All services will be held at the Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 142 West Washington Avenue, Washington NJ 07882. Inurnment will follow at Musconetcong Valley Cemetery, Hampton NJ.
