Obituary of Carmen Rogers

Carmen (nee Hernandez) Rogers, age 63, of Port Murray, NJ, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024, in Newton, NJ.  Born January 5, 1961 in Phillipsburg NJ, Carmen was the daughter of Isabel Velez Hernandez and Carmelo Hernandez.

Carmen was a 1979 graduate of  Warren Hills High School.  She worked at a couple different jobs before she began working at Frazier Industrial in Long Valley, NJ on August 1, 2005. She spent nineteen years working as an office administrator in the Order Processing/ Customer Service Department. Carmen was well-liked by her coworkers.  She was often one of the first people to greet visitors, always with a smile and a pleasant hello.  She was known as a dedicated worker, who took pride in everything she did and was always willing to help anyone in need.

Carmen married the love of her life, Kenny, on February 26, 1994.  Carmen had two children, Hazel and James. In her free time, Carmen enjoyed cooking, sightseeing across the US, and spending time at home. Above all, Carmen loved spending time with her family and friends creating precious memories together.

Carmen will be forever missed by her loving husband, Kenny Rogers; her daughter; Hazel Alexander; her son James (Jimbo) Alexander; her sisters, Isabella Rios and her husband Victor, and Anna Hernandez; her brother, William Hernandez; her sister-in-laws, Dorella, Denise, and Jaqueline; her brother-in-law, Kevin Rogers and his wife Christina; her aunt, Tia; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Carmen is predeceased by her parents, Isabel and Carmelo Hernandez;  her in-laws, Barbara and Kingdon Rogers; and her brother-in-law, Anthony Rogers.

Family and friends are invited to visit with Carmen's family on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm at Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 142 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882 Internment will take place immediately following the funeral service at Musconetcong Cemetery, 108 Valley Rd., Hampton, NJ 08827.

A repass will be held for family and friends back at Kenny and Carmen's home after the services.
