Obituary of Robert Edward Krause Jr.

Robert Edward Krause Jr., 56, of Columbia, New Jersey passed away in an accident while on his way to work as a carpenter with the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters Local 253. Robert was born in Phillipsburg, New Jersey to loving parents Joan Krause and the late Robert Krause Sr. He grew up in Warren County and also grew to love the outdoors. Living most of his life on the banks of the Delaware River he loved fishing and spending as much time on the water as he could be it on a row boat, a kayak, or a jet ski it didn’t matter as long as he was there.  He also enjoyed hunting and often times spent some extra time in the woods searching for native American artifacts. Most of all Bob loved being a father to his daughter Rebecca and cherished every moment he spent with her. 

Bob will be forever missed by his daughter Rebecca Krause, mother Joan Krause, sister Sandy Crusan, sister Susan Mowery, long time partner Dana Appleby, as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and many friends and coworkers. He will be greatly missed. 

Bob is predeceased by his father Robert Edward Krause Sr., and by his brother Steven Krause.

A gathering of family and friends for visitation will be held on Saturday October 19th from 10am until 12pm at Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 142 West Washington Avenue, Washington, New Jersey 07882. A Catholic Prayer service will be held at the funeral home at noon immediately following visitation. Bob will be laid to rest at Musconetcong Valley Cemetery in Hampton, New Jersey following the prayer service.
