Obituary of Beverly Haas

Beverly J. Haas, 77, of Belvidere, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Brakely Park Nursing Home, Lopatcong Township, NJ. Beverly was born on March 9, 1936 in White Township, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Ethel Sweet and John W. Thatcher. She was an artist and enjoyed doing art work, some of her art work can be seen in the Belvidere Free Public Library. She loved to read, to go shopping, and enjoyed her two cats, Toby and Oliver. She was instrumental in organizing her Belvidere High School 1955 class reuions. She lived for her family and loved her kids and grandchildren. She is survived by her two sons, Michael Haas and wife Denise of Washington, NJ, Jonathan Haas and wife April of Palmer Township, PA, a daughter, Stephanie Farley of Belvidere, NJ, nine grandchildren, Bret and Chelsea Haas, Zachary and Jessica Haas, Cortney Haas, Katie Farley, Lauren Haas, Alex Farley, Jonathan Haas, II, Bridgette Farley, and Angelica Haas, two great-granchildren, Bailey Haas and Skyler Haas-Hernandez. She is proceeded in death by daughter Susan Haas. A visitation will be held 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc., 136 West Washington Ave., Washington, NJ 07882. A service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2013 at the DeVoe Funeral Service, Inc. A burial will follow in Belvidere Cemetery, Belvidere, NJ. Donations in Beverly's memory can be made to the Beverly Haas Art Scholarship fund in care of Stephanie Farley, for the artist for Belvidere High School.
